Tekha Selim
Tekha Selim brings over a decade of expertise as an international leader in the intersection of health and the built environment. At IWBI, he is Vice President & Head of MENA Region. Tekha introduced the Healthy Building movement in the MENA region in 2019 and helped organize over 65 Governmental events and training sessions related to WELL in the region. Tekha has played an instrumental role in enrolling over 500,000,000 sqft. of projects in various WELL programs across the region with some of the most prestigious organizations and entities such as, The Prime Minister’s Office, Dubai Police, Majid Al Futtaim, ADNOC, MAG, Nakheel, Mubadala, The Crown Prince’s University (HBMSU), The Dubai Land Department, RERA, IHCC, IMKAN MISR, EMAAR, and many more. Prior to joining IWBI, Tekha founded the internationally known Tekha Group organization, which promotes healthy lifestyles by bridging cultural gaps through different programs all over the world. Through Tekha Group, he presented more than 170 speeches to hundreds of thousands of people all over the world, and he has been a part of more than 130 major events globally including 3 TEDx events where he was invited as a Keynote speaker. Tekha Group worked on numerous Government initiatives aimed at advancing healthy lifestyles in different countries. The world’s smallest fitness step tracker, the MymoTekha, was named after him. Tekha has a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication and a Master’s Degree in Media Studies. He also has worked as a college instructor in the USA, teaching classes in Speech Communication and Race, Gender & Human Identity. Tekha played basketball on the Egyptian National Team and played American college basketball (NCAA) as well.
